Assuming Apple can’t get all of TrueDepth under the display this year’s iPhone, what would you prefer in 2019: More “Notch” (right), or switch to “holes” (Spider!) (left)?pic.twitter.com/XNLnQKs4He

Rene, I still assert that if there needs to be a non-continuous front screen on an iPhone, the notch or holes should be at the chin and not the forhead. Our eyes drift to th upper left naturally and even if the lower location has blockage issues it would be better esthetics.
Then the capture angle, like the Xiaomi Mix 2, makes photos/video look really odd
Jose, indeed, however there is wonderful ways to compensate for this issue. From AI to angled imaging chips. It is solvable. Especially by Apple.
Might be mistaken but I doubt it can be really be solved properly.. as you say the eyes tend to look up and really you want to be looking at the camera during e.g FaceTime.
Jose, I hear ya. I think all design elements are a bit of a compromise. Apple always looks at the ecstatics to a greater degree. The FaceTime issue can be solved. Perfectly? Maybe. Ecstatically it is better for apps and design with a full upper screen. FaceTime weighing is less.
