Jose, indeed, however there is wonderful ways to compensate for this issue. From AI to angled imaging chips. It is solvable. Especially by Apple.
They already do that in iPad Pro, because the camera can be on either side or bottom, so the neural engine compensates for Face ID.
Face ID works sure but have you tried FaceTime with the camera at the bottom?
Might be mistaken but I doubt it can be really be solved properly.. as you say the eyes tend to look up and really you want to be looking at the camera during e.g FaceTime.
Jose, I hear ya. I think all design elements are a bit of a compromise. Apple always looks at the ecstatics to a greater degree. The FaceTime issue can be solved. Perfectly? Maybe. Ecstatically it is better for apps and design with a full upper screen. FaceTime weighing is less.
