I think the phrase “VoiceFirst denier” is a bit harsh, Brian. It’s possible to hold a healthy scepticism - and many of the people who take that view, were correct about mobile and other new tech in the past. Doesn’t make them right now, but valid views none the less.

David, indeed. Great points. I guess I feel the the sting a bit more than I realize when I see what could have been healthy skepticism, was actually used to deride me and the things I saw up ahead. Some made this personal. They know who they are and the denier term is for them.

That being said, a few people who clearly don’t rate the future of voice, hold positive views on augmented / virtual reality. For me voice is a natural (possibly even critical) partner for those things so I don’t get the split.

David, indeed. I know why it is a mixture of things. One is not seeing coming and fearing it, than denying it. And Mr Upton Sinclair’s “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it!"
