Hey @bretkinsella has there been any effort you know of to back into "active" devices from Amazon's stated sales figures? Btw Shira we'd love for you to join us at The Alexa Conference...you'd enjoy it. Well-rounded look at the Alexa ecosystem. #VoiceFirsthttps://twitter.com/ShiraOvide/status/1081316499665678338 …

Give me an active devices or daily active user figure, or pfffft. How many people with a Fire tablet or dishwasher with Alexa installed have never used the software at all? https://twitter.com/LanceUlanoff/status/1081315063653371904 …

Bradley, I can say that the number is conservative. The public numbers are based on regular interactions. Currently regular interactions are based on weekly use and the actual per use threshold is not yet public. I postulate by my research it is 5 times per week.

Thanks Brian. So if there's 100M devices sold that have Alexa integrated in them, what percentage of that 100M install base do you estimate have never been interacted with via voice at all? For appliances the number might be higher, but I bet the newer Kindles would surprise...

Bradley, great question! This is based on the class of device. An Echo device has of course higher use. My research shows 73% in regular use. The other devices are less with Fire TV gaining. Thus based on this I say 48% are in regular use. The number will grow with new use cases.
