Voice did not evolve stand-alone, only as part of the package: a human being. Thus an interface only as useful as it taps into the whole stack in a good balance.

IIya, I hear ya. Humans gave up a significant portion of the brain to Broca’s and Wernike’s area, if aphasia takes place we can no longer read or write and gesture. This the phonological loop. The gesture lead to speech and is important but not central.

The brain is a conglomerate of layers and keeps a lot of arguably outdated things around. The power to invoke emotions and deep memories by smell are still with us. So in a reasonable timeline gesture will still play a crucial role.

IIya, indeed. Fully agree. I call this #VoiceFirst not Voice Only. Over time as deeply contextual AI expands, we will be less mechanical. This has been the way of humans and history.
