What numbers in specific? The ones verified by the Wall Street Journal on period of adoption to reach 50% of the population? They have been verified.

Empirically, no way it hit 50% of The U.S. population yet

I hear ya. It is a huge milestone as the best selling single item for 3 years in a row on Amazon. Those numbers have been confirmed.

I don't deny the slope of the adoption curve, ut there's no way in hell (or on Earth) that the category hit "fitty" percent yet

Indeed. Yet this is the verified number from a robust number of researchers. Some place it higher. I stay with a conservative number of about 50%. Although it would seem over 75,000,000 may be sold this holiday season.

Very reasonable; not to many other choices for a "clever" and "easy" holiday gift, especially given of the modest price range. Great business all around, but I'd say that only 30% of "The US population" will be "DAUs" by 1/1/19.

Indeed! Privacy will be a defining issue for this epoch. Amazon and Google may have to go back to square 1 because it was not conceived correctly. It is very early days and what comes from this is a shift in expected experiences. Voice will be demanded organically.
