I do not think smart speakers have product-market fit. Or more precisely, I think the fit they have found is not one that gives Amazon or Google any great strategic benefit

Maybe I’m just missing something deeper, but personally I have huge respect for both Brian and Benedict. I rationalize their points of view because smart speakers != voice computing. Voice is the future. Smart speakers... a niche of sorts

David, thank you sir! Benedict is one of my mentors. You found the point exactly. It is the teletype interface to Steve Wozniak’s Apple 1. Not close to the GUI era. That will come with deep user context. At that point it will be cemented as a one of the most valuable possessions
