Hey @Dagk, in your next interview please consider explaining why Android users prefer Google Assistant over your Samsung Bixby instead of why you think Apple screwed up your Siri. Besides, Bixby isn’t outperforming Siri.

You should consider learning a bit more about this space. Bixby with Viv launched just two months ago. Siri was launched by Apple in 2011. 7 year lead so I would hope it’s outperforming. The third-party ecosystem is the key to Bixby moving up the ranks amongst the rest. We’ll see

I’ve been in this space since Siri was introduced on iPhone 4S. You continue to bash Siri like a scorned partner while speaking highly of Bixby. It would great if you truly moved on from Siri to focus on Bixby to show us all what you can really do.

I am and always will be a Siri fan and heavy user. Still have many friends there. Rooting for Siri and Apple. But with a 4 year lead on the rest Siri should be further along. Everyone I know at Apple agrees.

Dag, indeed I concur. Apple allowed Siri, through neglect to slow progress allowing other systems like Alexa to garner more attention. Bixby/Viv is a spectacular leap forward to the current paradigm of developer involvement and will produce a logarithmic number of new use cases.

What do you think the chances are that Apple has some major Siri revamp in the labs that it’s waiting for June to roll out? I keep expecting a Siri 2.0 type product based on VocalIQ and other acquisitions, but I wonder if I’m getting my hopes up too high.

Dave, great insight. I never count Apple out. This is also not a “winner-takes-all” race we experienced in the past with operating systems. The OS is the human mind, the use case expands to everything. Apple has a wonderful opportunity, just needs to take #VoiceFirst seriously.
