You could say the same thing about the command line. A powerful, compact cli will always beat a discursive, ambiguous graphic UI. We desire the ease of use of graphic UX only when we don't care about speed, precision, and power.

Not sure about this, and I use awk! It’s natural to lay things out on a sheet—the chalkboard, slate, paper. The CLI was a restriction due to bandwidth limitations.

Sure. But algebraic symbol manipulation is also "natural" to large portions of the population. Broader point is that graphic "Jobsian" (PARCian) UX is a contingent phase of computing history, not its unsurpassable culmination.

Fred, indeed! Also one could also argue that a #VoiceFirst interface is also Jobsian. I think @Dagk could shed light on how Steve saw the future of voice and perhaps what how he may have approached Siri differently if he survived...
