Wasn't it just a few games ago that there were literal unskippable ads during loading screens as well as "endorsement cutscenes" where you would be "punished" in game for skipping literal ads If you go to r/NBA2k the top post is literally an unskippable ad

2k has been like this for a while now this is hardly surprising. Every year they improve the gameplay slightly and increase the micro transactions and ads tenfold
