Get off where??
Big problems on the ferry from Freeport to Florida — announcement just made that any Bahamian without a visa must now get off. This is not normal. Nornally Bahamians can travel to USA with passport and a printout of their police record. This is a mess.pic.twitter.com/DESUm2qBGE

We normally can fly with a police record and passport because of pre clearance I believe but by boat you always need your VISA.

I thought by boat you don’t need a passport. Never needed one going from Florida to the Bahamas

Passport and Visa are different things. Passport proves identity and that you are American. Visa allows you (for a fee) to enter a country by arrangement through the governments. I paid $75.00 for a Visa to visit Cuba. Now that Visa agreement has been stopped by trumb.

A CBP officer at FL exec airpt told me & others yesty that Bahamians can’t be permitted into the US w/out visas. I pointed out the internal memo pinned on the wall 5ft away from him that instructs officers that visa-less Bahamians ARE permitted & tells them how to process them.
