Honestly so many of today's rappers from down here owe a lot to Southern rappers who took a LOT of unecessary flack simply because they came from below the Mason Dixon in the late 90s and early 00's.

I’ve always felt it was his looks. This isn’t shade in anyway. Him not looking tough or even a sex symbol is why he was written off as corny.
