In our new paper out today, autistic adults held a “get to know you” conversation with an unfamiliar autistic or typically-developing (TD) person. We were curious: would social interaction outcomes differ when their partner was also autistic? THREAD

I forgot to say - my thesis on double empathy is freely available to download. Also, my 3 empirical studies on DE were published open access (although it cost a fortune!). So grateful to supervisor for helping to make it free to access

One final plug for this delightfully animated (in more ways than one) conversation about communication differences between autistic and non-autistic people. It’s a great introduction to an exciting new area of research

This is so cool, and also somehow way more watchable than an actual video of a live panel.

Interesting article but why is the female academic NOT recognised by her title and discipline when the male academic is? 🤔 It's DR Alexandra Sexton () she is an expert HUMAN GEOGRAPHER (not just "a researcher"). We can change this right ?

A screenshot from a telegraph article with no recognition of title or discipline for the female academic "Alexandra Sexton, a researcher" vs "professor sir Charles Godfray a population biologist"
