I have been missing an obvious pair of clarifying concepts: Egalitarian Left and Egalitarian Right My own experience suggests that we on the Egalitarian Left--even those of us far from center--have have more in common with the Egalitarian Right than with the Intersectional Left

I have seen large agreement on how life should be lived between the two. The big difference is how much of that life should be government mandated.

It is truly a battle of equity vs equality and whether you hear equality to mean equal start or equality to mean equity and require equal outcomes. Equality on right and left will have much more in common than with anyone valuing equity as supreme

Equal start is perhaps a laudable goal but incredibly unrealistic to achieve. Different genetics, different parental/familial environment (even shitty parents have rights) being the most intractable obstacles. Equity is just another word for communism and is totally absurd
