I do not understand people's skeptical gut on this. The Dragonfly reference limits the number of possible authors down from millions, to a handful close enough to know that secret. It could be faked to help Damore, but that is sure to backfire if the other claims are false.

It could be faked to hurt Damore, as happened to Dan Rather with the George W Bush Air National Guard memo, in which case it is even more interesting and troubling than if it were simply genuine.

It could be an insider writing on a lark, but that is hard to imagine given the risk of Google figuring it out and the likely trajectory of the story in that case.

What it can't be is simple fan-fiction.

I'm not saying skepticism isn't warranted. Indeed, this is a case for extreme caution. But we are several steps past it coming over the transum. The author knew a major secret, and apparently it superficially checks out from
@JamesADamore's informed vantage point.Prikaži ovu nit

It reads off to me.

Damore is credible, but I'm not sure about this writer. I find the use of "we" unusual for this type of criminal confession (E.G. "When we fired him...") I would expect more use of, "They", "I", and "s/he".

I wouldn't, maybe you know him better. But I'd like a bit more of evidence with a claim this severe.

The main thing that smells fishy to me is how many areas of that situation the person claimed to have first hand knowledge of. Could be real, but it feels a little too... omniscient.
