The bad apples on the right are about 50% of the country. Bad apples on the left is microscopic in comparison.

Obv campus activists are often insane, but that's bc how useless a lot of these profs are in the real world. They turn their depts into little fiefdoms and act out their little power fantasies there. Most ppl on campus don't care, the silent majority. Minority overplays hand.

But I do think it's overemphasized by the IDW. For many of you it's personal, which causes bias. Anti-SJW videos are possibly the number one form of right-wing red meat on YouTube for example. It's visceral, people LOVE seeing SJWs get OWNED. It turns into a kind of porn.

Are you taking issue with “it’s beginning to look like clickbait”? I’m fairly young, so I’ve only taught at the 4-year university level for two years and the CC level for two years in the humanities (in liberal California). I worked with open socialists/marxists but not fascists.

My institution, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, has a Jacobin club and a socialist club, but, again, none of these people are fascists (from my direct experience with them). The authoritarian problem seems, to me, to be specifically an elite school problem.

I could be wrong, though. I’ve talked about your situation at Evergreen on a podcast. That’s a real, dire problem that should not be understated, but at this time I don’t see the evidence that Evergreen is symptomatic of a systemic problem across most universities.

That said, professor, I am open to having my mind changed in the light of evidence (some of which I may simply be ignorant). At any rate, thanks for your time (if you see and read this). I admire you deeply.
