I have complained in the past (https://acoup.blog/2021/10/01/collections-so-you-want-to-go-to-grad-school-in-the-academic-humanities/ …) how faculty sometimes talk the talk when it comes to supporting graduate student workers but when it comes to it are unwilling to sacrifice. Now I get to walk the walk I guess, in this small, mostly insignificant way.
It isn't much, but its something I can do. I hope we can reschedule the workshop. Of course this has to be a huge headache for the organizers (who have all of my sympathy). I'm sorry to them and any of y'all who were planning on tuning in to listen if this disrupts your plans.
