Going by analogy from oversized swords in Europe, it might be a 'bearing sword' - a ceremonial, over-sized sword meant for display rather than actual use.

I mean, you say that, but a lot of early scholarship on European swords made assumptions about the weight and handling characteristics of greatswords based on oversized bearing swords, so it seemed worth noting.

"Ceremonial" sounds like a very fancy way of saying "some dude commissioned a professional swordsmith to make a sword so oversized as to be useless because it would look 'sick as hell' and freelance work hasn't actually changed much in the last millennium."
