The university experience benefits from a wide range of serious and considered viewpoints. If a student gets all the way through college without having their core beliefs challenged, something has gone wrong; alas my sense is that is becoming more common though.

Some center-right or center-left, but nothing much further to the right than that. That said, I had a politically conservative up-bringing and intentionally went to a campus with a radical reputation to try to expose myself to different ideas (it worked).
No, but I had a Marxist teacher in high school. (I fought with him all the way because I was a devout Christian and he was very anti. We did respect each other in the end.)
