How about playable starts in the grand campaign in Africa, the New World, Asia, etc? Always thought it was bonkers that the Ottomans and Marathas were the only non-European playables in the original grand campaign. Like, not even the Iroquois or the Mughals?
...my reading comprehension is bad because on second reading I see you already basically said this. Still, it is perhaps my biggest gripe with E:TW (tied with the 'slavery is basically not in the game')
