Arcane on Netflix is excellent. Easily the best video-game inspired (more than adapted) film/show I can recall. Well worth watching; avoid spoilers when you go in since a fair bit of the tension is that even if you know how things must end, you don't know how they get there.
The show is based on the popular multiplayer game League of Legends (which I once played, but no longer do). Knowing the game isn't necessary for the show (though since the show is a prequel, knowing where the characters end up does make it more poignant early on)
Honestly watching it makes me a bit sad that Riot hasn't spent their talents with more story-driven games (an actual game of League is nothing like the show), but they seem to be potentially turning in that direction. Whether or not that works our, Arcane is a triumph.
