Is getting a PhD worth it if I don't want to go into academia? I know that's a rather vague question and this probably isn't the best medium to ask it in.

So you have to ask 1) is it required to do a job you want to do and have a reasonable of chance of being able to do (probably not)? or 2) are you just wealthy and doing it for the joy of becoming an expert in something? If both (1) and (2) are 'no' then 'no.'
