Also I am confused as to why they changed his costume? Like, this is the smallest thing, but Vicious' original outfit is not, like, something that would be hard to recreate in the real world. Surely there was space for one custom tailored great coat somewhere in the budget?
Actually, the more I look at that costume, the more it frustrates me. The whole design of the original was centered on the dark shape combined with the visual interest of the gold braid and edging, which they removed, making it just blandly black.

And they've also missed what I always thought was intended to be the contrast between an outfit that communicated wealth and power but was also worn loose and a bit shabbily (that popped collar!) because this is a character that likes power but does not care for tradition.
