So, Caesar's situation is less about him winning glory outside Rome becoming a problem to be stopped, and more about other's trying to keep him off of the levers of power, forcing him to take a gamble?
Not that he tried to build a good relationship with the Senate even when he was there. As Curio reports him saying, “Everything must come from me!”
