The focus on time-in-Rome is why I tried to make the blue 'Italy' bits stand out. I'm sure I've made some chronological errors in there somewhere, but I think I've mostly got it correct. Anyway, feel free to use (with citation if you are putting it online) if it's helpful.

Did Julius spend enough time in the Italian countryside during this period for distinguishing "time in Rome" as a subset of "time in Italy," or was his time in Italy basically all transit to or from Rome?
The latter, but the transit time is meaningful. I didn't have dates for his time in Rome itself, so I lumped it all together.
