Though I do wonder about the teaching/research humanities package. I love both, so it suits me. But some of the worst student experiences I've had were with professors who were utterly indifferent to their teaching and wholly focused on their research.
I see this absolutely working for some people, but I also feel like some of the most astounding student experiences I had were with professors who were nearing retirement (or emeritus) who were just stunning masters of their craft.
