We get College4All or whatever it’s called and humanities departments still get cut, because most students major in nursing, STEM, Business, and Human Resources Management.

Does it make sense for more people to major in humanities? The job pipeline aspect for existing grads is already clogged. What's needed is a shift to lifelong learning. STEM college subjects are (oftentimes) time sensitive job prereqs. Humanities courses are worth it 4 all ages.

I'd like to see historians shift more to talking to people generally of all ages, but I do see the traditional humanistic education as valuable to students in the normal 18-22 stage. So do employers - the supposed unemployability of humanities undergrads is wildly overstated.
