Well, she's your standard generically strong, tough, fast superhero. Sooooo, if the writer wanted her to be it wouldn't be much of a stretch. p.s. I disagree with Bret, Wonder Woman absolutely could have broken through. She, herself that is, alone.
To be clear, presumably she could physically travel to the other side of the lines. But that's not a breakthrough. Unless she plans to personally beat every German soldier unconscious herself, one by one, no, she's can't produce a breakthrough.

I feel like there's some fairly low upper limit on how many artillery pieces she can kick apart, but a similar limit on how many men you can lose to a god before morale problems become severe
