I started drafting outline for future "Soccer and Politics" course (Spring 2023?). Amazed by how much work is out there. But seems that most work is written by historians and sociologists... Also, it will be quite a challenge to get decent gender ratio in my syllabus.

At UNC @mttandrews teaches several sports and history courses, and the gender ratio is not nearly as skewed as you might expect. Maybe baseball and history is the most male-dominated.
This is true and it is a fantastic class! Though I suppose keep in mind when assessing the skew in UNC classes, UNC is about 60/40 female/male, so a class that is 45/55 female/male is actually skewed quite strongly compared to the undergraduate student body writ large.

Good point. And baseball was very skewed, but Sports and Olympics less so.
