I’m quite happy when books discuss inscriptions and histories of emperors and kings, and then include graffiti or writings from lower class individuals. Being able to see the broad spectrum of life in the ancient world really adds to my enjoyment/understanding.

I always love these reconstruction photos. Do you happen to know how archaeologists/historians make these guesses/conclusions about how the past looked. Endlessly fascinating anyways. It humanises those who lived so long before us so much.
