One increasingly visible problem millennials have is that we were so steeped in Boomer self-aggrandizement/"end of history" rhetoric that we kind of lost the ability to understand ourselves as a historically contingent generation that would itself be supplanted in time
Really? I kind of have assumed since at least 2010 or so that we'd be a 'lost' generation - the regrettable but largely forgotten trough in a graph between the boomers and what came after.

So when I say "supplanted" I mean "as the youth/counterculture," not in terms of...I don't know, GDP or whatever
