When I was a kid everyone in the US got it, practically. It was just part of childhood.
Yeah, I thought about this the other day that the inevitable Chickenpox episode is a part of childhood narratives, now banished in the developed world. Like polio, measles, etc. used to be. I mean, until some anti-vax idiots bring it back.

I had absolutely no idea they'd gotten rid of it, genuinely. Had no idea this was now part of the childhood vaccine battery.
