You'll all have to pardon me for being political for a moment but... It is not legal to storm the capitol and should someone have (lethal) force used upon them while in the commission of that crime they are not a hero, but rather a criminal who f***ed around and found out.

Don't get me wrong - I'm sad at every death and injury that occurred as a result of the capitol insurrection, even the insurrectionists. But if you violently storm the capitol with the intent to attack congress, 'getting shot' is a foreseeable *and lawful* outcome.

Justice in this case surely means investigation into the appropriateness of the use of force, and accountability for any failures, as it should for anyone killed in an incident with law enforcement

That investigation took place, though like any investigation which does not result in charges some of the details were not made public: https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/pr/department-justice-closes-investigation-death-ashli-babbitt … Having seen the video, I am forced to concur with their judgement that the unnamed officer did not act unlawfully.
