Random opinion: A bunch of the phrase 1 Marvel had pretty good hero themes which could have made for really solid leitmotifs or musical callbacks but which, for whatever reason, just don't get used very much or at all subsequently.

Yeah good point - they only reused the 'siren' motif when he Bucky had to pretend to still be the Winter Soldier.
I was actually kind of waiting for an updated version of the Captain America march to play when Sam picks up the shield - you know, a recognizable transformation of the song to indicate the mantle had been passed but that also things had changed - but no.

Also, there are at least half a dozen moments in Infinity War or Endgame where a few bars out of Thor's theme from Thor 1 would have fit ('Thor kills the destroyer' is the track name) and they just...don't. Missed opportunity, I think.
