Another joy in "tracking down typo'd footnotes" this one in Roth's very solid *The Logistics of the Roman Army at War* (1999) (though the error is in the 2012 softcover that I have), fn reads App. BCiv 6.6.50 but that can't be right because BCiv has only five books.
Some searching and the correct citation is App. BCiv 3.66. Tracking down references for P. Ventidius Bassus who I realize I should *absolutely* tweet-storm about or blog about later, because his life was WILD.
What about Labienus? Caesar gives him a lot of good press.
