It's on my radar. My issue with Amplitude games is that they build these really rich, intriguing worlds filled with interesting concepts and characters...in genres that don't really let them explore that story potential.
I always find myself wishing they had made a different sort of game, no matter what sort of game they make. Just differences in taste and preference, I think. It is hard not to conclude that their games are excellent at what they set out to do.
i think that's a good point! i found myself having that issue with endless legend specifically. I haven't gotten much into their previous games, but I'm intrigued by some of the concepts they're talking about in humankind so I'll probably try it out as well.
They have Dungeon of the endless, and I think a newer one, that is a more RPG dungeon explorer. Adding a recommendation for humankind, if your issue is 'story details don't get fleshed out", humankind is more about large scale human history so that's probably not a big issue.
