Is this the old http://Ancient.eu site? If so, their articles were almost exclusively shit. Hardly any written or (clearly) reviewed by experts.
I started warning my students against that site in my paper assignments after one too many frustrating papers trying to use their entry on catapults, which was very bad indeed. Infuriating too, because we have Marsden's one-stop-shop book on ancient catapults in the uni library.

I've had students cite it and it has always been a source of misinformation or such outdated information that it was a shock to see a student bring up.
