Looking over my student feedback for this last semester, one thing I find a touch odd are student requests for more text-oriented powerpoints (e..g powerpoints 'with notes'). Which I find odd because this is exactly what I was taught *not* to put on a teaching powerpoint.

Does the "learning styles" concept ring true to you? Do some students in your class do better with different methods of participation, or do the people who are "getting it" do so regardless of approach? If learning styles is real, maybe text-style is expanding?

So I think both that there is something to learning styles, but I also think that part of the college experience is learning-how-to-learn. In life, the most common way for someone to try to deliver information is to explain it verbally.

At some point, students are going to be in situations where they have to absorb information delivered that way, because that is by far the most common method of delivery (followed by that same method, but in written form).
Lataaminen näyttää kestävän hetken.
