One of my most cringe qualities is that I will congratulate *anyone* I see post that they've just completed a PhD, even if it's a post on Facebook from someone I've met like once, and occasionally a post on Twitter from somebody I don't even know
Is that cringe? I do that. I dunno, I just think it's a big welcome to the club from all of us that wasted the best years of our lives rendering ourselves unemployable.
