So, if a sententia or a gnomê is a pithy little clever saying or a fragment of good sense, we need a word for the opposite - clever-sounding nonsense that gets played as voice-overs in trailers or misattributed to historical figures. Perhaps we should call them 'insipientiae'?

I think that's a subcategory of the genre. But some of the 'profound-sounding-things-over-music' trailers, which are also in the genre, are worse because many of them are nonsense even read purely literally. I'll need to find a good example.
