I'd check the books out at the institution where I have a teaching appointment currently, except that 1) that appoint ends in about ten minutes and 2) their smaller library doesn't have the book anyway.

Today's irritation - my research appointment lands me in this frustrating donut-hole where I am not covered by the university's COVID-deals with HathiTrust, but also I can't check the book out, because we have a COVID-deal with HathiTrust.

Oh, and of course this is for a project that has a hard deadline, so 'just wait for normal operations to resume' isn't really an option. Sigh,
