Hey military historians: have you read anything recently that discussed the French Army in the Algerian War? I'm looking for things written by non-experts for non-experts to gauge how folks outside our field narrate the conflict.
Ah, I wish. If we had a broader range of reference points for thinking about these things, we might produce better policy, but it's all endless rehashed debates about our war in Vietnam.
