I've done a lot of things in my time as a reader but one thing I will never, ever do is read a book in a series out of order. Perversity, decadence, will never understand

what drives me crazy are series where the author makes it actually difficult to read in release order, which is esp bad in older fantasy it feels like

Yeah, Lewis actually preferred to have them published/read in chronological order, right? I tried this when I was younger and the Magician's Nephew really is not as reader-friendly an intro to the series
