It helps keep the posts more manageable, but I also it makes the whole enterprise both interesting for continuing readers (no repeatedly explaining the same concepts) but also approachable for new readers.

At least, that's how I hope it works. I mean, I'm going to break 3 million page views sometime this week, so probably I guess it's working? (I still don't have a real sense of what is a 'lot' of views...)

Let's see, assuming about a 100 posts, each long time reading viewing each page 3x (rereads and refreshes), that'd be like ... 10,000 dedicated readers? Could easily be off by a lot though. Regardless, imagine pulling an irl crowd that size each week for a colloquium. It's a lot
