RotJ is perhaps not the best Star Wars movie, but the Battle of Endor is really good, and you can tell because *very* few large-scale space battle sequences are half as engaging.https://twitter.com/janecoaston/status/1384641061050540039 …

I thought the fight between theEarth Force ships in the Babylon 5 episode 'Severed Dreams' was top notch.

Also one of the very best.

I recently started rewatching, but had to stop when I saw the first Ewok. I may scroll forward to the fleet action.

Fortunately, youtube can provide you the fleet action with the entire rest of the film removed:https://youtu.be/f38a6pYL_jE

Was going to mention Scarif! They really nailed the same sense of “something BIG is about to happen” and fully deliver on it.

Scarif and Endor are excellent (and both far better than anything we got in the sequel trilogy). Now I know they don't actually show the whole fleet battle, but I don't hate what we saw of the Coruscant battle from RotS.

Will disagree vis Scarif. But how about the Yavin Deathstar run? The copying of Dambusters and other war movies also made it fantastic. The sensation of disappointment as "it didn't go in" or get clear wedge you can't do any more good back there, I'm sorry.
