I realize all this trailer (https://youtu.be/kV9TUmhDsMg ) is supposed to tell me is "this game has a shotgun" but honestly it just makes me think that the whole 'get pumped' high-pitched-whine-track is at this point an insufferably overused action cliche (also it sounds bad).
At this point, I think all it communicates is that 'this musical director has learned from other, better Hans Zimmers (is it Hans's Zimmer, or Hans Zimmers?), that composers sometimes uses an air-raid siren...but he has not yet learned why.'
Though I suppose "an experience where you are left waiting for the drop that never comes" is a really good description of quite a lot of Focus Home Interactive's products, so perhaps there is a deeper meaning here.
Seriously? There I was, playing original Doom, when my mother told me to get a job. I figured, why not, since there would be even better games waiting for me when I reached retirement age. But that's just the same thing with better graphics!
