Pet Peeve of mine: using the term "US Ally" for states that are not in fact US Allies under any formal treaty arrangement. We occasionally work with all sorts of countries. Sometimes we engage in military cooperation with them in pursuit of our interests... 1/6
I mean, has it? When was the last time a country that wasn't the United States got to invade the mainland territory of a Rio Pact state, despite those states having generally weak militaries? Monroe lives, man.

I mean, the number of countries on that list that have invaded each other is pretty high. Even if we discount US intervention in Panama, Cuba, Nicaragua, etc as some sort of special superpower privilege there's still the wars between El Salvador v. Honduras, Peru v. Ecuador (2x)

Not to mention every state that's sponsored an insurgency or a coup within the territory of an alleged ally (too long of a list for Twitter).
