vitiasse itself is not exactly clear cut. Ovid uses that verb in Heroides 12 where there is no question that the conception was consensual. I still read the scene in Met 4 as a rape, but it needs more context than that verb I think. Too complex for twttr.

I mean I won't argue that Ovid wrote her as being raped. But I will argue that Ovid isn't GREEK mythology. If people are talking about Greek myths then Hesiod's origin is the one to go to
