I'm not an economist so I don't know if they still count as "externalities" if they're literally all you have, but that sure seems to be the case here
I saw a quip a while back that all crypto was was a 'money laundering index' and that seems about right.

I think there's an interesting larger point in this discussion: sometimes 'externalities' are the point: it's not that they are unintended consequences, but absolutely intended efforts to expropriate wealth. 1/
