I am reminded always in these cases of the principle that we ought to defend those rights of others which we would like to enjoy ourselves (a phrasing I think coined by conservative lawyer @DavidAFrench but applicable to any political orientation that values liberty)
(Collin College, being a public community college, the first amendment does apply here, but so does the broader commitment any college or university ought to be making to free inquiry and open criticism...especially criticism *of the college*)
